As a young women in my twenties, fresh out of college, working in my first job, if someone had told me that one day I would be preparing to undergo multiple plastic surgery procedures, I would have laughed and told them they were crazy! Old age was some distant time in a far-away future that would not be affecting me any time soon. Fast forward through the rest of my twenties and thirties…travel, marriage, children, and a divorce. Someone once said, “Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.” Oh so true! The decade of my forties was one of great changes in my life. I found myself a single parent of four growing children. My life was a whirlwind of carpools, soccer practices, cheer competitions, and dance auditions. Every minute of every day was occupied with the myriad details and obligations of my family…essays, music lessons, SAT prep, college applications. The days passed by in a haze of activity. And then I re-entered the work force after an 18-year absence.
