Marc E. Yune, MD

Dr. Marc E. Yune is a triple board certified facial plastic - cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery), a diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and a fellow of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery.

After graduating with honors from medical school and residency in head and neck surgery at Indiana University, he was selected for 1 out of 37 fellowships in the country in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with an emphasis on cosmetic facial surgery. His thesis paper for completing his fellowship was the DART procedure (a new technique using structural grafting for revision rhinoplasty in the over resected nose reestablishing a natural appearance while simultaneously improving the airway). The fellowship, sanctioned by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) was administered by their recognized authorities in association with Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During his fellowship he served as a clinical instructor for Emory University training other physicians and residents while working with leaders in the field of facial plastic surgery to achieve the highest level of training available. He furthered his education in cosmetic breast surgery and tumescent liposuction through a variety of preceptorships primarily in Southern California (Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, San Juan Capistrano, Los Angeles) over a period of several years. He continues to further his education through the AAFPRS, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery, American Society of Cosmetic Physicians and various other societies.

Dr. Yune is a recognized authority in the field of facial plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He has authored and lectured nationally on numerous topics related to these fields with a particular emphasis on facial rejuvenation through eyelid surgery and facelift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation and tumescent liposuction. He has developed and authored techniques on revision rhinoplasty (DART procedure) and revision breast augmentation (ICE procedure, a simple alternative to suture capsulorrhaphy to treat the malpositioned breast implant).He is a volunteer surgeon, past spokesman, and fund raising chairman for Face to Face national domestic violence project. He is a volunteer surgeon for Atlanta Smiles Foundation. He is a clinical consultant and trainer to Allergan (makers of Botox and Juvederm) and Galderma (makers of Dysport, Restylane, Perlane and Sculptra).

He is the world’s first preceptorship for Zeltiq (makers of Coolscupting) and a faculty peer to peer educator for Merz (makers of Ulthera). He is a founding member of the Georgia Society of Cosmetic Surgery. He has been featured on CNN, NBC, CBS, Discovery Health Channel, She TV, Women’s Entertainment Network, Time Magazine, New You Magazine and a variety of other media. Dr. Yune founded Aesthetic Specialty Centre in 1998 and is committed to excellence in the highly specialized fields of facial plastic and cosmetic surgery.
